Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
•
A minimum of 6 years of work experience in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment.
•
Proven experience in the Oil & Gas or Mining sectors is a must.
•
Strong technical skills in mechanical design, including:
o
Rotating Equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, fans):
➢
Calculations: Sizing and selection of equipment, checking performance (like flow, pressure, power needs), and evaluating vibration.
➢
Studies: Comparing and choosing the best equipment, and understanding how different parts of a system work together (system integration).
o
Piping Systems (e.g., pipelines, pipe networks):
➢
Calculations: Pipe sizing, calculating pressure losses, and stress analysis to ensure pipes can handle pressure, temperature changes, and weight.
➢
Studies: Designing efficient pipe layouts, choosing suitable materials, and ensuring flexibility in the system.
o
Static Equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks):
➢
Calculations: Designing for strength, calculating wall thickness, reinforcing connections (nozzles), and ensuring proper support.
➢
Studies: Creating equipment layouts, defining fabrication requirements, and selecting appropriate materials for different process conditions.
Proficiency in relevant engineering design software (e.g., for 2D/3D drafting, stress analysis).
•
Strong understanding of engineering design principles and construction methodologies.
•
Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
•
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•
Familiar with international standards such as ( ASME ,API, ISO , and ASTM)
